LIFT Intergenerational Festival
DANCE PERFORMANCES, WORKSHOPS, DISCUSSIONS, AND TIME TO CONNECT ACROSS AGES THROUGH MOVEMENT
LIFT Festival 2025 is Inverso’s first intergenerational dance festival: 3 days of dance performances, workshops, discussions, and time to connect across ages through movement. This event is based on a belief in dance as means to connect beyond words towards a greater depth of understanding across age groups. As our relationships shift over time, this dynamic from parent to child, care-giver to care-receiver, mentor to mentee transforms. The intention of this Festival is to highlight the diversity of our collective lived experience, to inspire a fresh view on aging in society and include representation of older adults as part of our pluralistic community in performance. Ultimately, it is about how we all hold each other up.
